WELCOME TO GOREY CHAMBER!

A Message from our President

Welcome one and all to Gorey Chamber. Enclosed please find our new Membership Pack which I hope will be of interest to you.  Listed below is an outline of our expectations for the coming year which I hope will give you some insight into the workings of the chamber.  I wish to extend an invitation to you to join the Chamber and with your participation we can make a difference in this difficult economic climate.

Meet and Greet

This is the ideal opportunity to meet new members and businesses and renew contacts.

Calendar of Events :

The Chamber endeavours to broaden the range of events which it hosts throughout the year. From the monthly Chamber lunches to Build Your Business network in addition to specific after hour events which are tailor made.

Newsletter:

The Chamber issue a quarterly newsletter and attached is the Spring edition noting the events that were hosted in January, February, and March 2013.

What do we do?

Lobby as a group – Town and County Councillors, as well as T.D’s and Senators.

• Lobbying specifically for adequate car parking facilities and traffic management.
• Speak as a unified group regarding matters of common concern and interest to the business community of North County Wexford.
• Regular meetings with the Town Clerk, Garda Superintendent, Wexford Co. Council. IDA etc, to represent member’s needs and concerns.
• Ensure suitable infrastructures are in place such as roads, sewerage, water and reliable electricity supply.
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with existing businesses in Gorey through business networking meetings.
• Promote Gorey as a quality Shopping and Tourist area with excellent facilities and services.
• Encourage new businesses to set up in town and host a twice yearly Business Start Up Workshop.
• Help existing businesses in Gorey to expand and develop.
• Encourage and develop social and business contact between members of the Gorey Chamber through business after hour’s events, ie breakfast seminars and social events.
• Improve crime prevention measures through Business Watch.
